interview process from months ago was long and drawn out - ultimately got an offer for a similar but different role in another location. hiring manager not very responsive throughout the process
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DoorDash (New York, NY) in Jun 2022
Interview
Applied online, was contacted by a recruiter.
After a 30 minute phone call where the recruiter mostly said "uh huh" while typing notes, I was then sent a "Take Home Test from DoorDash".
This "test" was not a test.
It's a skill assessment without any questions asked.
Very vague and ambiguous.
I was provided a raw sales data sheet and an empty google slides presentation.
No questions asked after reviewing the data like how about asking a question like "which location has the highest amount of returns"
after several hours I was able to submit a summary which gave me a headache.
You know what's going to happen?
people who already have gotten jobs will just share their assessment with their friends so they can copy and paste to get to the next round.
Nice work attracting top talent DoorDash.
