I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Draper (Boston, MA) in Sep 2013
Interview
Transferred from DLF to full-time. Process began with an informal meeting with the division lead. A long while later (nothing happens quickly), a req was opened and I was told to apply to it. Another long while later, an interview was scheduled. Interview consisted of several one-on-one meetings with future colleagues plus a technical presentation on a previous project - in my case, my thesis. All of my one-on-ones were people selling me on the company; no hard questions or anything like that. Technical presentation is very important, though. Be prepared for any possible question even tangentially related to your work.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The technical presentation (~30 minutes presenting, ~20 for questions, but it can go a lot of different ways) is the technically demanding portion of the interview. One-on-ones will go well if your social skills are solid.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Draper (Cambridge, MA)
Interview
Day-long interview process with about 6-8 different individual meetings and a technical presentation. Met with hiring manager, a couple group members, and several line managers above the group level.

Question 1
Several tough (insightful) follow-up questions on my technical presentation.
I applied online. I interviewed at Draper (Cambridge, MA)
Interview
Day-long interview that started with me giving a technical presentation to about 12 people and continued with multiple 1-on-1's with members and group leaders in the prospective division. The technical presentation was really just to see how to speak in front of a group since that happens routinely in the position, and how you deal with questions and differing ideas. The 1-on-1's gave a feel for the division, but I would have like to talk with more people in the group I actually hired into
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Describe your familiarity with Kalman Filtering and control systems.

Interview
Took a 5 hours long five 50 session interview/talks with current employees in the related field.
Gave an hour long technical presentation as well.
Got the offer 2-4 weeks after the interview.

Question 1
It was more of a casual conversation of me describing my project experiences answering related questions.
