In order to get the TA position in next quarter, You have to email the professors of the department that you are interested in the last two weeks of your current quarter. You can also email the departmental heads. If there is a vacancy then the professor will reach out to you directly to have a zoom call. If he finds you as a perfect fit then he can finalize you as his/her TA.

There was no interview process, really. I applied and the professor took me because I did great on the subjects at my first year. Some subjects may need PhD students who might need interview. As long as you show that you are good at communication and have a good understanding about the subject, I think you will be fine.
