Interview
After submitting application, there was an email to set up a short initial zoom interview with HR rep. That was followed by a take-home task. That was followed by a ~30 zoom interview with team lead. That was followed by a ~half day interview session with 5 separate meetings with various teams.
While everyone I spoke with was friendly and engaged in the conversations, the final result felt very dehumanizing. The rejection was accompanied by a note that company policy is to provide no feedback. There was some wording that made it sound human (it was great to get to know you, keep in touch, etc), but a subsequent email inquiry about other positions was ignored completely. Given how much time and energy I (and they) invested in the process, it seemed like a quick response to a reasonable question would be, well, reasonable. It's never nice to be turned down from a job after a long process, but it doesn't have to make you feel so disposable.
Initial introductory interview with hiring manager. Take-home assignment that took a couple of hours. Follow-up round of interviews with representatives of different departments. Offer. Extra words to meet the minimum for this box.
The process was smooth and fun - very interactive and concrete. They weren't focused on behavioral questions and much more on applied work. It consisted of a screener call, take home task, follow up call, then an all day on site interview.
