I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Dutch Bros. (Oakley, CA) in Apr 2023
Interview
I applied at Dutch bros 2 times before I got a response. I tried to call the location but the number given was a call center and they told me to go in and ask in person. Not abnormal this day and age. I received a text message from the manager and set up an interview. Not a phone call, a text, though again not abnormal. I went in for the interview which was outside the stand in front of the customers, which I was fine with but would have liked to have a heads up. She asked me some odd questions then said I’d get another text from her boss. A week goes by and I hear back that I got a second interview. When I went in she also asked me odd questions and said I’d hear by Monday even if I didn’t get the job. Monday comes around and I never got a call or a text. Today I decided to reach out by text and she informs me I didn’t get the job. She lied about calling me no matter what and when I asked for feedback she never responded

Question 1
If I were given $1 million what would I do with it?
Many stages, spontaneous questions that I didn’t expect. First a virtual interview then a group interview. Then a test of memorizing recipes of drinks and whatnot. Tedious. Intimidating but they care a lot about having some creativeness and aligning with their values
The interview process is constantly being remodeled to adapt to the generations of new broista hires that fit with the growth of the company. I had a phone call interview and an in person “panel” style interview.

Question 1
What kind of vegetable would you be if you could choose one?
Very friendly and fun. It was different than most interviews. They try to see how well you can hold a conversation and if you are friendly. Overall an easier interview than most.
