      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at E2open (Raleigh, NC) in Nov 2019

      Interview

Quick screen by the recruiter. Very responsive, high-level questions, where are you located, why are you looking to leave, what are your salary requirements. From the conversation, my location and experience are a match,; however, they have their salary range set very low for the role. Quickly set up a video call with the hiring manager in CA. Hiring manager a few minutes late, but failed to have the video on? Not sure why the effort for a video call, and not bother to use it. Hiring manager, interested in the size of the company I worked for, number of employees, and role. I reviewed a few roles in my past that were similar in comparison to their size and growth. Not many questions relating to my knowledge or experience. I described in detail partner enablement and certification. I asked about their job description and requirement to build out the training curriculum, and the response was that they had that covered already. My thought was that the hiring manager had limited knowledge and or experience of technical training operations for customer P&L. I more or less had to help the hiring manager work through relevant experience questions for certification, curriculum, delivery etc..

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback. I'm disappointed to read about your experience. I can assure you that we provide support to hiring managers to conduct effective interviews. We will take this as a learning, and I will ensure the specific hiring manager you reference is coached.
