I applied online. I interviewed at EAB in Oct 2021
Interview
Step 1: Resume Review
Step 2: Two-part online assessment
Part One: Cognitive (Numeric, Spatial, and Verbal Reasoning)
Part Two: Personality (Preferred Work Style)
The assessment was one of the most ridiculous tests and had absolutely nothing to do with the job. It consists of 2-minute timed accounting, finance, other math problem-solving, matching odd shapes, and other random questions. Which, the instructions tell you to spend no more than an average of 20 seconds per question. Are you serious!?
I have over seven years of professional Event Management & DEI experience but was not assessed on my skillset and work experience. And instead, I was assessed on a stupid test that has nothing to do with an Events Programmer (Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion) role, and the skillset needed to perform the job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Part One: Cognitive (Numeric, Spatial, and Verbal Reasoning)
Timed Assessment: 15 minutes, 50 multiple choice questions
This section is designed to measure your critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Try to pace yourself to spend no more than 20 seconds on average for each question.
You cannot revisit previous questions; however, there is no penalty for wrong answers. If you do not know an answer quickly, take an educated guess and move on.
During the last 60 seconds, it can be helpful to guess on remaining questions unless you know the answer right away.
Part Two: Personality (Preferred Work Style)
Untimed Assessment: Generally takes 10 - 15 minutes
This assessment is designed to learn more about your preferred work style.
Answer in a way that most accurately describes you; there are no right or wrong answers.
