      Applications Innovator Interview

      Nov 26, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at EAI Technologies

      Interview

An honest waste of time. As others have said, the initial interview is a simple one where you have to record yourself answering three questions, most of which can be found on this page. It took me about 20 minutes to do, and I was rejected a week later with zero feedback. The reason its a waste of time is the lack of feedback plus the abysmal rate at which people get offers. Seriously, sort these interview posts by "received offer", and you'll find that only 2 people out of 60 -something candidates received offers. That's a Google-level rejection rate for a company with less than half the prestige. Seriously, don't waste your time folks.

      Interview

Like most of the reviews mention, EAI's interview process is indeed a bit different and longer compared to some other companies. But the people I talked to in various stages of this process always made sure that not only was it a very pleasant experience for me, but that I learned something out of each talk as well. Once I completed the behavioral and cognitive assessments, I was contacted by HR (pretty much the same day) to proceed to the next step in the interview process. The initial video interview was mostly about them getting to know me, and there were 3 simple coding questions as well. The second round was a tech interview where I got to meet a couple of people I'd be working with, and I got an opportunity to show them my work and thought process. Then there was another round of technical interview where I built a web page that takes in data from the database and displays them (along with a few other things). This was mentioned in one of the reviews earlier, but in the interviews, they don't expect that you'll have knowledge of the technologies that they use and are working on. They just wanted to see how good I am at what I do. Then I actually had a phone conversation with the CEO of the company!! That was actually a pretty good (and surprising) experience. The final round was a set of onsite interviews (both technical and non-technical) with most people in the team. It was a long day, but the process never felt rushed. My favorite part of that day was when I got to have lunch with the entire company, where everyone was happily talking with each other (and this is something they actually do everyday). I even got a session with just the new hires (without any managers) so that they can provide honest feedback on their experience with the company so far. At the end of the day, there was a final round with the CEO where he gave me the job offer. So overall, a very good experience.

      Interview

It was more steps than the average interview process, but basically followed the format of phone screen -> technical remote interviews -> onsite. I waited no longer than a week in between steps and HR promptly answered all questions I had about the company and the process.
