I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at EY (Bucharest, Bucuresti) in Dec 2016
Interview
The process consisted of 4 rounds of interviews with the typical type of strategy consulting questions. They covered market estimates, profitability analysis, growth strategy and other various other subjects. The most bizarre question that I got was: what should Julius Caesar consider before deciding whether invading the Isle of Britain was a good idea or not.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Should a recycling company enter the Brazilian Market? Should a telecommunication company that owns its own infrastructure give access to other services providers?
The interviews were pretty standard and not too formal. Quite relaxed. I did 3 or 4 interviews, and a few calls with the recruiter to set it all up. They were easy to reach compared to other companies.
The interview process began with a brief introduction where I shared my background, education, and career goals. This was followed by a discussion about my resume and previous projects. Next, I answered a few technical and behavioral questions to demonstrate my knowledge, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities. I also completed a short coding or task-based exercise related to the role. At the end of the interview, I had the opportunity to ask questions about the company and the position before the interviewer explained the next steps in the hiring process.
