Major issues from the start which are red flags. If you can’t run a hiring or interviewing process right how do you even manage this many employees at a place with this high of stress level!?! So to start….An external recruiter emailed me on Linkedin and told me I was a great fit for ERC but there were major issues along the way. First the external recruiter couldn't answer any of my questions. Not a single one. Not about the job, pay, hours, schedule, or anything except to say she could forward my information to the internal recruiter. She did say she could email me more information, which just turned out to a be information that was a copy and pasted from ERC's website, but I said yes. The external recruiter quickly called me back and said they were interested and would set up an interview. Second issue. Days after I talked with the first recruiter another recruiter sent me an email late in the day stating I had to submit five professional references. These professional references had to complete a reference check prior to my interview. I was given less than 48 hours’ notice prior to my interview which feels a tad unprofessional! Third issue. I was set up with the wrong clinical manager for my interview. The first recruiter I spoke to never asked me to identify which center I was interested in working at since ERC has two vastly different centers that they run. One is eating disorders and the other is anxiety and mood disorders. She said I could decide later in the process, which is incredibly wrong. Fourth issue. The interview was just weird. I interviewed with two people who never introduced who they were position wise. Questions were kinda all over the place. 15 minutes into it one of the people said they didn’t have any more questions which I felt kinda insulted by as I felt I was pretty well qualified and not performing too poorly and not highly anxious. At the end they gave vastly different information regarding the timeline toward decision making. Fifth issue. The reference check system is a little weird and one of my reference was unable to submit his check which was never resolved prior to my issue or when ERC shut it down without warning. I marked that I wasn’t given an offer based on how one person stated they were wide open and making decisions quickly although that’s not what the other person said. However, it’s been four business days I haven’t heard a thing, so I’m assuming I was rejected. Either way I’m not accepting because of how unprofessional they are over there.
