I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Edelman (Tokyo) in Dec 2011
Interview
First interview was conducted by a hiring manager and the CEO himself. Second interview was by 2 managers. First was very relaxed situation. Second was more tense. The manager asked very direct questions and put pressure on answers should they be different from what expected. They conducted the interview basing on the result of personality quiz (i.e. You seem to work better by yourself instead of in team; wouldn't you be more appropriate to work in an embassy or something instead of in a pr agency, etc)

I applied online. I interviewed at Edelman (New York, NY)
Interview
Only did the first round which was a phone screening. Recruiter didn't seem that engaged and sounded like they were in a rush to get off the phone. Communication via email is quick though, and they're transparent about the process and updates so that's a plus.
