I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Elevance Health in Aug 2017
Interview
I was contacted via email for an initial phone screen with a group of five people. The date/time as dictated to me without alternatives. I had a conflict so requested an alternate date and the response was then to begin a 3 month process of having individual phone screens with others who the hiring manager asked to be involved. During the entire process I never spoke with HR. Each phone screen was about a month apart. After the third phone interview I was scheduled to have a call with the hiring manager. One hour before the call I received a call from his admin saying he was sick and could not do the interview. I was asked over the next four weeks to provide multiple alternate times and never received a response back from the admin. Finally I emailed the hiring manage who stated "Haven't you been watching the news on Anthem? A lot has been happening." My response was NO that's not my job but it is your job to keep me posted on the status of my application and to respond in a professional, timely and business like manner to candidates. I can only guess that they were no longer recruiting for the role but was never specifically told that although I received a No Longer Under Consideration email from the applicant system about 4 weeks before the hiring manager interview and was told to ignore it and that it was a mistake. The biggest mistake was wasting so much time with this company.
