I had an initial call with a TA representative. The conversation was pleasant, although it felt slightly rushed.
I was then asked to complete a take-home assignment. After putting together my solution and spending around three hours on it, I submitted the assignment and asked about the timeline for the next steps. Unfortunately, I never received a response, even after sending multiple follow-up messages.
For a company with such a strong reputation, the candidate experience was surprisingly poor. As a recruiter myself, I cannot imagine not getting back to a candidate with at least a brief update on whether they are moving forward in the process. Ideally, candidates should also receive constructive feedback, especially after investing a significant amount of time in a take-home assignment.
I also agree with one of the comments here that they might have been either collecting intel on the German market for FDEs or there’s something else. I hope it wasn’t the first option.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked about my experience overall, approaches to sourcing.
Initial recruiter interview, then 2 hour 'take home test' sourcing for one of their roles, then reporting back through a Loom video. I completed the test and was immediately rejected with no feedback - when I requested feedback I was ignored. Recruitment 101, when a candidate gives hours of their time for interview / tests, you reject via a call with detailed feedback - candidates can easily become customers in the future. I feel I was just used to source their role for them, and this wasn't actually a real hiring process.
