Interview
I interviewed in early April and the process took about 2 weeks total. First upon sending in my resume I was given a link to a 2 part assessment to complete. The first part was mostly logic based questions to assess critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills. The second part was a coding algorithm problem to solve. Total time limit was 60 minutes with 20 minutes for the assessment and the rest of the time for the algorithm. I then received an invite to a video interview to go over my basic background information and had a chance to ask questions about the company and position. It was a mostly informal call which seemed designed to evaluate soft skills, needs and, culture fit for both parties more than anything else. The next step was a take home coding challenge with a 4 hour limit on it, I can't spoil any details on it but it was straightforward and nothing crazy. That was then reviewed and looked good so I was moved on to the final step which was a technical interview where the first half was a code review of my challenge and the second half was technical questions. After that final step there was about a weeks wait while they finished interviewing other candidates but my inital point of contact reached out to me after a few days to let me know what was going on, which was very nice to not have to wonder or contact them to find out what was going on. Overall I felt the interview process was good and moved quickly with the candidate knowing where they were in the process and the steps that were left the entire time.

Question 1
The technical interview was a code review of your take home coding challenge and then technical questions covering the full stack back-end to front-end.

Interview
Applied Online, received Online assessment.
I liked the process. I can see that process is not for everyone but at that moment when i see the assessment i was thinking company was trying to assess the general ability of problem solving, troubleshooting and critical thinking rather than looking correct answers for specific questions.
Teams interview process was very relaxing.
Whole process took 2 weeks.

Question 1
questions were generally over my experience and more explaining how i did the things and in between i was getting some detailed questions regarding that implementation. Intune, Exchange migration etc.

Interview
After applying, I received a link to participate in an online assessment. There was one short programming exercise, but the majority of of the assessment involved answering basic logic questions (like determining the order of people standing against a wall given certain parameters) with a little bit of pointless fluff (like checking boxes to indicate "which values are most important to you"). It felt like it was designed for someone fresh out of college, and as someone with nearly 20 years of programming experience, it felt downright insulting. It was as if Emergent went into the interview process with the assumption that I was lying on my resume. Two days after the assessment, I got a generic rejection email, which was just as well. I would have turned them down if they'd wanted to go further.
