Reached out to recruiter on LinkedIn & was screened by the recruiter.
Next was a phone interview with Hiring Manager - VP of Marketing. He was extremely helpful in sharing his vision for the role & expectation from PM. The questions were mainly behavioral ones.
Next step was an onsite interview with 5 members - all informal & mostly professional:
1. VP of Engineering - very high level; focus on expectations from PM
2. S/W Engeering Manager - more peer to peer discussion - mainly around role in SCRUM
3. Sr. Product Manager - Product Management focus; discussion on competition & technology
4. Sr. Director, Product Marketing - this was bit left field; some questions on innovation & felt like little bit of "gotcha" interview
5. Finally, Hiring Manager - VP of Marketing - very informal; encouraged me to ask Q's/clarifications about company;
Onsite interview was on Friday evening - the Hiring Manager that he'll make a decision in next 2 weeks.
The following Monday morning, I received an email from the Recruiter informing me that they would move ahead with another candidate.
I was disappointed by the outcome - in fact I did not even have enough time to send in "Thank You" notes for the interview panel.
Most of the team was relatively new - some of the interview panel were with the company for only couple of months.
