      Management Trainee Interview

      Jan 1, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Enterprise Mobility

      Interview

I applied for the Business Management 12 month placement scheme. The process starts with an online application form and CV, then a telephone interview with a talent acquisition manager, branch interview, and finally assessment centre. I only got to the telephone interview however.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The questions were fairly typical, all based around the competencies on the website and the role. I was asked to tell him about myself, why I wanted to work for enterprise, what I thought the 3 most interesting things about the company were, how competitive I am and an example of when I've been competitive, the extent of my experience in retail, a time I showed leadership, what my strengths and weaknesses are in customer service and favourite/least favourite part of selling, what extra curricular activities I participated in at university only (not outside of university) and why I got into them... I did most of the talking though. He told me and a friend of mine who had the interview the same day, that he would get back to us with a decision within 7 days. It's now been 3 weeks and neither of us have heard anything. I received a phone call with an offer, for a placement at a different company, the evening of this interview and accepted, but waiting for the result from enterprise for curiosities sake. Looks like I might have to wait a while longer though! I think it's really bad and shows disorganisation that we were told definitely within 7 days and it hasn't been followed through, if it were the other way around and they were waiting on a candidate they would write them off. Not that it matters to me now that I have another placement confirmed, but for all they know I, or someone else, could be waiting by the phone for their response and I just don't think that's fair. The job itself does seem like something I would be happy doing though, so a bit of a shame.

Great outreach and screening process. Guided through the whole process, felt they wanted me to be a successful candidate. Professional. 2 hour second interview felt long. Make sure to bring printouts and copies of resume.

The interview process is a little long. There’s three interviews. They go over your history and see if you are competitive enough to work for the company. They look for athletes and people who are outgoing.

Three-part interview process! My only complaint is that I was reached out to on LinkedIn and have no idea what the actual job is. Other than that, everyone has been super friendly and on top of the process, making me feel a little too relaxed haha.
