      Management Trainee Interview

      Feb 17, 2015

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Enterprise Mobility in Jan 2015

      Interview

This is a four-step process. First, after submitting my application online for the management trainee position in my area, I received a template email from the recruiter that provided a link to schedule a phone interview. How soon or far away this is depends on the recruiter's availability, but for me it was just a couple days away. For the phone interview, I received a call at the scheduled time and had a 20 minute (give or take) discussion about the position, and briefly talked my prior experience relating to the job. A couple days later the recruiter called and requested I come to her office for an in-person interview regarding the same information. However during the in-person interview with the recruiter, she asked specific behavioral questions about my past sales and customer service experience. At the end of this interview, she said that she wanted me to meet with the Area Branch Manager (who supervises all the branch locations within their area). This was the only time where I felt there was a lull in the interview process. This individual is very busy and it took almost two weeks to get an interview scheduled. However, when I meet with them it was a very similar experience to the prior interview with just the recruiter. They will ask about you, what motivates you, and any and all past experiences relevant to the position. I received a call later that same day from the recruiter to schedule a final interview with the Regional Vice President. I scheduled a time to meet just a day or two away and went in to this interview feeling very good about how the process was going. While I was waiting for the RVP to come get me from the waiting area, the guy at the desk told me that if I'd made it this far, I pretty much already got it. The final interview with the RVP was quick and painless. This person just wants to make sure that you understand everything you need to know about the position, and the only questions he asked were about me, not my work experience. I left this interview feeling extremely confident, and the next morning I received a call from the recruiter to offer me the position. I accepted the offer the next day. TIPS: Be ready to talk about yourself beyond what your resume says. They want to know what motivates you (a question I was asked at every interview, so prepare an answer!), how your friends would describe you, how you would describe yourself etc. Also be relaxed (of course) and very conversational. They want to see someone who is going to be relaxed and comfortable working with people all day, so show it. Last but not least (albeit obvious) ask questions, questions, questions.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What motivates you? - How would your friends describe you? - What are the three most important things you want in a job? - Where do you see yourself in 3-5 years? - Tell me about you delivered great customer service/made a sale etc.

The interview process is a little long. There’s three interviews. They go over your history and see if you are competitive enough to work for the company. They look for athletes and people who are outgoing.

      Interview

Three-part interview process! My only complaint is that I was reached out to on LinkedIn and have no idea what the actual job is. Other than that, everyone has been super friendly and on top of the process, making me feel a little too relaxed haha.
