I was contacted by an HR person from Essity for a position at one of its subsidiaries. It took a while from the time they contacted me to the time the interview was finally arranged and the HR person was more interested in convincing me that a slight raise was acceptable, versus the going rate for a patent attorney in the given location. After the lobbying me to interview with this subsidiary and Essity's IP management, I never heard from them again. No thank you for your time, nothing. Essity's IP management, by the way, is not formally trained in patent law and has no business leading the department. They probably had no where else to put her. The head of the IP dept. at the subsidiary, on the other hand, was very pleasant and had a clear vision for their dept.
