I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Essity (Gothenburg, Västra Götaland) in Sep 2021
Interview
Initial contact over the phone after application screening from Linkedin. 4/5 video link interviews (Teams based). Hiring manager moved out to another organization post initial interviews and process got handed over to another functional head. Overall good interviewing experience.
Centered around experience/skills checks and communicating social/cultural/personal challenges accompanied with a potential move to job location (right from first interview to set expectations for candidate) and based on understanding/acceptance from myside, process moved to next stages.
Successful in all interview phases with final interview with GBU VP & Director. Provided references from past experiences based on ask and finally got *SELECTED* & congratulated after approx. 6 months into the hiring/interviewing process along communication that I should start relocation process immediately, as I was required to report within a certian timeframe. Got asked for a session with functional head managing relocation and benefits to start relocation prep and later to be able to share final offer letter.
However, received refusal after few weeks due to their assumption that I won't be able to provide for my family post relocation, with whatever they can offer (which was never shared anyhow!) Nevertheless, did receive reiteration on the fact that I was still their preferred candidate but they had limitations due to role's level within the organization. Good realization on their part, though a bit too late :)
