Interview
I applied through their web page. For this position, a bachelor's degree and previous laboratory experience were required. I possess an MSc. and two documented experiences in laboratory work. One, in particular, was documented in a project published and linked in my CV. I got contacted only 24 hours later, even before the application was due, with a canned rejection letter, without any interview, phone call, or question. They did not provide any explanation or feedback. I controlled the page where my project is published and in those two days, it received no visit. They didn't even look at my previous experience. I am not saying they should read my whole work, but at least look at it to see what it is about. They even write "after careful consideration". Their careful consideration is rejecting someone after one day, before the application deadline, and without even taking a look at someone's publication. I am not sure if this is some sort of dark humor. Other companies, at least, take a couple of weeks before evaluating an application. This company's recruitment process is an absolute farce. I think whoever was responsible for the screening just took a glance at the CV and saw that the last name was not Andersson or Svensson. That must have been a good reason enough for the rejection. If instead, the process was already closed, they should have removed it from the page and explained that in the rejection letter. Either way, not a serious behavior from the company.
