I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at European Wax Center (Scottsdale, AZ) in Oct 2021
Interview
I applied for a job at one location, and while interviewing there, I found out they weren’t hiring. They sent me to another center mid interview to start the process over again with the center that was actually hiring.
When I asked them about the pay, they told me that they have someone who makes $90k-$100k a year. They told me that was possible. Later to find out the girl who made that worked for the company 5 years prior, and went above and beyond the scheduled hours, picking up every shift possible. I asked for realistic, and they gave me an unrealistic number for the average person.
They also told me in the interview I would need to bring in 3 people as models to practice the waxing patterns on. They wanted to see that I was able to put effort into my success in the center. I said it was doable, joking that I had a boyfriend and at least 2 friends who would spare themselves for me. It wasn’t until training started when I found out that I didn’t need 3 friends… I actually needed to fill 3 DAYS with appointments. After countless social media posts, and my inability to recruit that many 20+ people, they made comments like “You need to be able to fill these or this training would have been for nothing”… threatening to let me go if I couldn’t get enough people to model.
I later found out that usually, they will call guests to see if they would be willing to model for a free service, and they would assist in booking, however this was not done for me. Instead I was threatened with being fired before I even started.

I interviewed at European Wax Center (Columbia, SC)
Interview
It was a fast interview with most questions being about customer service. They are aware you have no experience (for most people this is a first waxing job) so no questions were about that.
I applied online. I interviewed at European Wax Center (Brooklyn, NY)
Interview
Very easy, training felt rushed but everyone was very friendly. Wish some things were mire thoroughly taught before thrown in with clients. The atmosphere felt very rushed as well but I still took it at my own pace.
