Pros:
The role sounded promising, and the recruiter seemed polite and friendly throughout the process.
Cons:
This was one of the most unorganized and unprofessional interview experiences I’ve ever had. Here’s what happened:
I was asked to select an initial interview time via their calendar link, which I did. The day of the interview, the recruiter called me, but it rang once. I called back immediately, but no answer. Hours later, they followed up asking to reschedule.
During the rescheduled call, the recruiter didn’t seem prepared. They couldn’t answer basic questions about the compensation split, benefits, or even the specifics of the role without me prompting. Despite this, I stayed optimistic and moved forward.
I was scheduled for a hiring manager interview. The day before the interview, they changed the time, which was inconvenient but manageable. However, minutes before the rescheduled interview, I received an email canceling it altogether with no explanation other than "in respect to the manager’s time." No feedback, no reasoning—just a cancellation.
Advice to Management:
I understand startups can be chaotic, but this experience shows a lack of respect for candidates' time and effort. If you’re going to engage with prospective hires, at least show the same level of preparation and professionalism you expect from candidates. Cancelling an interview minutes before it’s scheduled, especially after asking someone to adjust their time, reflects poorly on your company.
For anyone considering applying here: I ignored the negative reviews about this company, but my experience confirmed that they were right. Think twice before investing your time here—they don’t seem to value it.
