      Senior QA Engineer Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Exabeam in Mar 2022

      Interview

Unprofessional, random and weird interview experience. Irrelevant questions, interviewer clearly did not have any format and was absolutely obnoxious. First round was a technical round, interviewer did not have his camera on but expected me to keep it on. Anyway jumped on to some basic programs and once I was done, interview was over. I got a good feedback for this round although I took some time to solve the problems. Next round was scheduled and this was the weirdest part. Again interviewer did not turn his camera on. Then he went on mumbling and reading my resume on the call. He asked me one question and told me to write the code. The question was I need to find a small string from a large string. When I asked if the strings in the large string would be separated by space he said yes. Later on he went on to say it could have anything, any punctuation etc. He went on changing the question, clearly not knowing what he wanted to ask. Anyhow I was super annoyed by this point. Then he went on to ask some questions on probability, excuse me but how is that related to your requirement. When I asked him about the company and how he feels there he told me that is not what I should ask an interviewer. Kindly educate your employees on basic interviewing courtesy.
