i have applied online and got a telephone interview a month after. the guy who was interviewing me was very nice. he gave me a time to think about between each questions. the interview lasted about 30 minute consisting of basic questions. (nothing technical).
He was writing down my answers so i had plenty of time to think about how to answer questions but some of them were quite twisted.

Interview
Applied through campus career center, online, and visited Exxon at campus career fair. Two weeks later I was extended an invitation for a first round, behavioral interview. It was a 45 minute slot. They promised a decision within two weeks of the interview but requested more time to make their decision on my application at the two week mark.

Interview
Skype Interview - wasn't able to see my interviewer ( only a one way screening). Easy process, a great proportion of candidates received interviews after the online test. Interviewer was nice and took a lot of notes (typing in the background).
