I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ExxonMobil (Provo, UT) in Sep 2016
Interview
I had one on-campus interview, and two phone calls (one to discuss whether I would be willing to do a co-op vs summer internship, discuss what they had available, etc. and one actual phone screen). They were behavioral based interviews which made things fairly painless. No "what would you do if this happened?" types of questions.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to convince a team or group to go with your idea over all others.
Very interesting interviewer and also interested in what I had to say. Although there were your typical behavioral questions, I was free to take the conversation any direction I wanted.

Interview
Submitted resume through school and received a callback for an interview. Interview was standard behavior/situational questions with lots of time for me to ask them questions as well. Most questions were directed towards experiences I had with things on my resume.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ExxonMobil (Houston, TX) in Sep 2018
Interview
Mostly behavioral and situational questions. They really care about your leadership and not as much your academics since to even get the interview you have to have at least a 3.5, so from that standpoint academics don't separate you from the rest. You need a lot of experience in the industry/field and have a lot of leadership skills either through organizations, clubs, or previous work experiences. They have high expectations for your answers.
