      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at ExxonMobil (Baytown, TX) in Sep 2018

      Interview

The interview consisted of two days. The first day, I was flown in to Houston and was picked up by a limo driver to take me to the Hilton in downtown houston. From there, my host took me out for dinner. The conversations were really causal and personal. After dinner, my host drove me back to the Hilton. The next morning, my host took me to the Baytown refinery. From there, I participated in an HR meeting to discuss company benefits. Next, there were three individual interviews. The first had a few technical questions, the second consisted of learning the daily role of the position, the third interview was similar to the second. After completing the individual interviews, my host took me out to lunch with a few coworkers and my potential supervisor. Following lunch, I was given a plant tour. The last portion of the interview included a sit down with the head engineering manager to discuss the responsibilities of the open position. To conclude, my host escorted me out of the front door where a limo driver was waiting to take me to the airport to return home.

      Interview questions [1]
