The application was for an Experience ExxonMobil event which includes the interview for the engineering placement. Initial applications are done online which was followed by an online numerical and personality test. If you pass this you have a Skype interview which is mainly competency based (eg "a time when" type questions). Once you get through this stage you will be invited down to Southampton for the event which you will attend with about 30 other people. After presentations and a site tour of the Fawley refinery you will have an interview which consists of a introductory section about the company and why you chose to apply, followed by a competency/behavioral based questions which make up the bulk of the interview. The interview is concluded with a few technical questions related to your engineering discipline. Though I didn't get an offer the interview process was very good and they provided decent feedback after the interview on why you didn't get the offer.

Skype call with 2 process optimizers, I think the people you are interviewed by varies by what job they think you might fit. I thought the interview was generally okay but I think they just didn't think I was a good fit.
