It was a role that were unadvertised at the time, the employer reached out to me directly and pushed very hard for every response. After every single mail they expected me to reply within 30-40 minutes otherwise my phone was ringing already. We set up an online interview within few days with only 2 possible time slots to choose from.
Of 50 minutes we spent in the interview it took around 40 minutes to go through all the questions related to my knowledge of the area and so there was very little information shared about the role and the employer.
To quote the only interviewer engaging in discussion, "Your technical knowledge is there. What you seem to lack is project experience, but that we can teach you".
Which I completely agree with. - This would have been a step forward advancing in my career. My current role is no longer challenging me which is part of the reason I agreed to join the interview. -
Other than this there were no comment from their end during the interview, they agreed to discuss internally later.
I felt like I had a successful interview behind myself. Even if they decide to hire another candidate, I expected a short mail at least telling me they would not like to continue the process with me.
Which never came. My follow up mail was ignored, leaving me in uncertainty.
For me this is an unprofessional behavior considering I did not apply, but they reached out to me directly.
