I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at F5 (Seattle, WA) in May 2015
Interview
The interview Process began with an initial phone screen by a recruiter. She scheduled a group interview over webex with a team of individuals. This actually worked out quite well and the interview went well and was pleasant.
On my 3rd round of interviews, I was scheduled via web ex with two individuals. One of them began the interview by saying, "I see you worked in Washington DC. Well we all know that they don't do any real security engineering there, but I guess we have to do this interview anyways." Dead serious. Then he started asking technical questions, none of which were related to the job, just technical questions to quiz me. During me answer he'd have a side discussion with another person in the room. When I'd finish talking, he'd say, "okay yeah...." and go to the next question. He wasn't listening or paying any attention. He was exceptionally rude. I was glad when the interview was over.
There was no further communication from F5 engineering or recruitment after this encounter. I accepted an offer from another major tech company in the area.
