I applied through college or university. I interviewed at FDM Group
Interview
I applied for the APAC program, all interview stages were on phone and no need to be onsite. After taking the online test, I have waited about 2 months and then received the email to be processed to the due course stage. The following interviews only took about a week time until I received the offer.
Four stages to go:
Firstly, you will take an online test lasts for 50 mins. Flow diagram took the most, so if you have chosen all the correct answer for flow diagram you surely will pass the test.
Secondly, you are required to write codes with any languages you preferred to realize an easy test. The test was also very easy for anyone who has coding experience, mainly using for loop.
The third stage is a technology interview. Some simple questions about the code, like how to return the great number in a number list, how to reverse a string and check string A == string B, how to return a specific character in a string, like in the word “return”, r appears 2 times, e appears once, then return "r". The interviewer will prefer you to use the most simple method like for loop but not any jargon way.
Take example the reverse question, I answered using ".reverse" could realize that, but the interviewer then asked me how to do this without ".reverse".
The technology interview asked 3-4 questions and lasted for 20 mins.
Fourth, the final stage is a competency interview. Surprisingly, the interviewer didn't ask me the three why basic questions. After a short introduction, she then asked about my experience in the security company. Other questions as follow:
1. One proud time
2. Do you face any clients in this experience? How do you tackle the problem with the client?
3. How to deal with a situation that your clients want 10, but you only 5, how should you do with that?
4. What is your weakness?
Finally, was to ask any questions to the interviewer.
The questions were all very basic.
phone interview, asking basic information and my background. then asking technical questions and some career developing things. It is a really average process of interviewing. Not difficult, be prepared for the interview, then you will be ok.
