Interview
TLDR: Informal young atmosphere, followed by ridiculous tests. Received a call back 2 months after I had applied, was a HR screening interview and the person kept on calling me 'mate' and was clearly going for an informal process. I found this was hard to not fail and was quickly ushered into the next stage. ( I literally conducted the interview while walking the dog) This was a video interview with a set of 3-4 questions, standard interview questions very basic (exact same as phone call tbh). Day later I received a call that I was again successful and put into the next round. This was a 2 hour long psychometric test and a 30 min technical test for which I was being strongly encouraged to practice before hand. To me this is where it all went wrong. This is way too much to ask for a candidate before they have even been spoken to by the hiring manager, plus a technical test for a grad role that required no technical degree to have been studied. I did the test but gave up half way through as it had nothing to do in measuring my skills or suitability. Safe cracking game and pressing digits on keyboard whenever a rule was met. Amazes me how companies have fallen wayside with recruitment practices, do they honestly think this is a good way of measuring one’s ability. Unsurprisingly was told next day that I was unsuccessful. Granted it’s not great for me to give up but if they want to secure people’s attention asking them to do pointless games is not the way, waste of time. Think it shows some unprofessional nature tbh Would recommend if you do apply read the reviews section. Their business model relies upon getting cheap graduate labour in to do their work for clients, while you are sold false promises and on a below market salary. Better opportunities out there, know your worth.

Interview
I interviewed at FDM Group. Their interview process is fairy easy going and straightforward. After completing the initial application form, I was invited to a pre-phone screen and also had a quick phone call for a chat with the graduate recruiter for my University. After the phone screen I was invited to a strength based video interview, and I am now awaiting the outcome of the video interview.
