Prior to the assessment centre, I done a video interview and phone interview. I will focus on the assessment centre process though.
The assessment centre lasted from 9-3.30. During this day, I had to do 3 interviews and 4 tests. After a short introduction from one of the leaders, the interviews took place. The interviews consisted of Strength based questions rather than competency. They were very relaxed and casual. Each interviewer asked between 4-5 questions, so overall each interview lasted roughly around 5-10 minutes. Each question was scored out of 10, with the total score being 140. You need 80+ to pass, I got 100, this was told to me when I was offered the role.
The tests took place after lunch, we received a £5 voucher each for lunch at a local cafe. The tests were all done on an Ipad. The tests were: Numerical reasoning, Set notations and venn diagrams, IT aptitude, Verbal reasoning. Each test was multiple choice and was timed.
Overall the tests were quite tricky, my advice would be for IT aptitude make sure you have some general knowledge of IT. The tests were scored out of 3 each, overall score was 12 and you needed 8 to pass, I scored 10.
I got offered the job but I declined after reading the contract, I didn't agree with some of FDM's terms and policies.
