The process took 1 day. I interviewed at FTI Consulting (London, England) in Sep 2011
Interview
Started off with numerical and verbal reasoning, no calculator allowed. Followed by a group exercise/ role play where you analyse a case study and suggest solutions for the client. The company tend to look for economic analysis and some calculation, similar to project management. Knowledge in Corporate Finance could help.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
We were given a case that the client wanted to start a plan and had a few investment options available. You need to do an extensive calculation and determine which plan is the most profitable meanwhile satisfying some other social limitations.
you will get a pre-recorded interview first with 2 different questions, after their assessment if you get selected then you will receive a phone interview, if passed then they will invite you for a super day.
Overall very through, with final onsite interview lasting around 4 hours that included a written case and quant problems. It was quite tiresome because the interviews were back to back.

Why FTI consulting and whether I have intent on getting CFA.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at FTI Consulting (London, England)
Interview
Maths and Verbal reasoning tests online (relatively standard). Interview with 2 consultants from the team I was applying to. Standard competencies interview, though with some coding-specific curve-balls thrown in. Major complaint is the ludicrous behaviour of the (previously very communicative) FTI following the interview. In almost 2 months since the interview I have had zero communication; I am left presuming a rejection that they don't even have the decency to send me. Shocking approach to hiring experienced candidates from a large company.

- Tell me about your current role; level of experience - Explaining OLS regressions to a layman, deriving the value of R-squared using RSS, TSS, ESS etc.
