I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Factual (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
One of the vague and reckless interview process. Got an invitee from HR to schedule the interview. I was scheduled for an interview 10 days later. On the day of interview the person emailed me to say there is conflict and want to reschedule. I rescheduled the meeting. On the day of interview, the interviewer called and described the company and asked a question about trees. I solved the question and also answered the follow-up question with space and time complexities. He did negotiate me while solving the problem and seemed to be impressed and went through the whole solution. An hour after the interview they sent me an email saying skill set doesn't match and not the correct background for the position.
Why do you even shortlist and give a call if the background doesn't match?
Why do you play with the candidate's emotions and waste their time if you have no intention of hiring the candidate even if they answer your question? You could tell that there is a better way of solving it in the interview itself
Why do you vaguely schedule the interview just for your count purpose of records and write in reports without hiring intention? It was very bad to waste some one's time which is as precious as yours
Why do ask for time slots and schedule the interview after 10 days only to reschedule?
If you are not impressed don't provide the assumption of being impressed at least provide feedback without any template email saying background doesn't match. If that is the case then your recruiters should be changed for shortlisting the candidates with right background instead of scheduling the interview and sending the background doesn't match.
All they do is fake interviews for records and reports and no intention to hire
Applied online and got the online assessment within 2 weeks of applying. There were 2 questions related to arrays and strings, easy problems to solve within the given time frame. After a week I got a reject saying that the position has been closed.
