I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Fictiv in Jun 2018
Interview
The interviewer was really nice when initially making contact, but was shockingly tone-deaf to the realities of working in sales. I took the lack of response or follow up, and lack of awareness of their tone in their email and decided this was not the company for me.
We scheduled a time to talk after my work day. She called at the right time, but I was stuck in a meeting that went long. I texted her that I was in a meeting, then emailed her as soon as I was done.
She left me no voice mail, or anything to indicate it was her. The only way I knew was matching the phone number to her email signature.
She emailed back that she called "promptly at 5:30pm" and thought I was no longer available. The email had a pretty arrogant tone, I wrote it off as being tired maybe.
I told her I was available, apologized, explained I was working late and asked if she was still available. I never heard back. I decided not to schedule another call after this interaction.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fictiv (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2018
Interview
The interview process took about 2.5 weeks from application to offer. Initially I was contacted by the HR manager who scheduled a 30 minute call to go over my experience. This was followed by a video call with the business development manager in Portland to also get a gauge for my experience and if I could connect to the idea they were selling. From this call I was asked if I would like to continue interviewing in San Francisco and I accepted and flew to SFO. The interview in San Francisco was a 2 hour morning interview session. It began with a round table interview with 4 team members over pancakes, which was a really clever idea. Two employees cooked the breakfast for us while we started our interview session. This group portion lasted an hour and contained a lot of question to determine if I would fit with their operational culture and what drove my interest. Next I met the founder of the company and we spoke for 30 minutes, which was followed again by a 1:1 with the Business Development Manager and the HR Manager again to cover any of my questions. The vibe of the office and team was very upbeat, open, passionate and transparent. It felt like a great place to work where everyone was bought into the culture and idea. I was offered a position the next day. Passing on their offer was an extremely difficult decision.
