Two sessions. Behavioral phone and multi-round final round. The recruiter was very nice, but many applicants get knocked out in this round. The final round consisted of many rooms. Interviewers are intense but respectful. If you don't get it, you're not dumb, there is just a particular mindset/culture fit that is looked for in applicants.
Applied same day. Received call back a few days later scheduling and interview. Very straightforward technical questions. Round based interview session, received offer within two weeks. Looking forward to gaining experience and exposure to the financial markets.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Boston, MA) in Jun 2025
Interview
I was able to interview early because of the diverse insights program, and spoke with a member of Boston office. They asked typical questions, like describe a time you faced a challenge and how did you overcome it, why did you choose fidelity, why finance, how do you see yourself in this role. I got really great feedback prior to the interview that helped me prep for, including: "Focus more on Star method, spoke for too long without real meaning. Remember to use specific examples during the zoom interview instead of just general phrasing, talking about specific projects and classes you took, examples of financial modeling or data modeling will be important and discuss in detail. Remember to discuss specific examples when they ask-why do you want this internship, etc. "

It was a pretty simple screening for the first interview. Just basic questions about your resume and how you think you would fit in Fidelity. The second Interview was a little harder asking more complex behavioral questions, but they weren't impossible and definitely manageable.
