Please don't take these clowns seriously. They aren't indexing for actual security skills. For some reason they are looking for highly skilled software engineers that can add production code. They aren't even questioning for the infra scripting skills they claim they expect every engineer to have. Like you might as well just hire software engineers and put them through a SANS course. Anyhow it's the reality of the market right now. The hiring market is filled with laid off engineers right now so they can fulfill their respectability fantasies. Of course try, but if you don't get it don't feel bad because these people are clowns.
