One of the weirdest, waste of time phone interviews I’ve ever had...
Hiring manager acted like he already knew he wasn’t going to hire me even before he called me for the interview. Acted very stuck up. Less than a minute into the interview he said that he didn’t like my qualifications listed on my resume and LinkedIn... then why even bother to interview me in the first place??? He even said that he didn’t even really want to hire for the role in the first place. Also never directly answered any questions I had about the company culture or sales process and instead proceeded to actually criticize my questions as I asked them, as he did with pretty much everything else I said about my past roles. He even criticized my answers for why I was interested in the company.
He then cut the interview short and said he wasn’t interested and had about 95 other applicants to get to. Thanks for wasting both of our time, I guess. Next time if you don’t think a person’s resume and LinkedIn is the right fit for a position, don’t bother scheduling the phone interview in the first place.
