Initially, I had about a 30 minute phone interview with a recruiter. Normal job related questions. Then, got a call for a second interview over Skype with someone within the department that I was interviewing for. Again, normal job/experience related questions. At that point, I was told I’d be hearing from them within a week. I sent a thank you email the next day and waited a week. Crickets. I sent a “checking in” email over a week later. Nothing. I never heard back from them which is terribly unprofessional, in my opinion. I realize the company doesn’t OWE me anything. But a quick “you’re not our guy” email is the professional and respectful thing to do.
