Fleetio interview questions

The hiring process was extremely well-crafted. I appreciated the amount of consideration taken by the entire team, and I was absolutely floored at the amount of care and communication involved in recruiting. Danielle (lead recruiter) was so helpful and responsive every step of the way. I had separate phone interviews with the lead recruiter, the department director, and the manager of my team. Each was around 30 minutes and very conversational. We discussed my experience, interests, how Fleetio operates, and my duties. Everyone was intelligent, driven, and friendly. I was then tasked an assignment for my position that gave me a good feel of what I’d be doing and how my success would be measured. In the final round of interviews, I came to HQ for an hour interview. I met with the director for 15 minutes, mostly to meet in person, discuss my assignment, and answer any final questions on either end (my direct supervisor is remote, otherwise I’m sure he would have been there as well). Then, I met with two peers in the department. This was my favorite part of the process, as I could get a feel of what my team would be like and how we would collaborate. This also gave me a chance to ask candid questions about Fleetio. Mostly, I just asked, “is this too good to be true?” and “does the honeymoon period wear off?” (Note: it does not wear off). Finally, I met with Tony, the CEO, for 15 minutes. He gave me an overview of the company and his vision. I was really impressed by his knowledge and how much he cared about the company and the team. We had a great talk, and he asked me some hard hitting (but awesome!) questions about my approach to content marketing. It was evident he wants to do everything he can to build a strong team and positive work culture. I was later contacted by Danielle with an offer and promptly accepted. That said, before I heard an answer, I made a mental note to write a positive review about my experience regardless of the outcome. It’s a thorough process, as they want to ensure they’re making the right hire, but it’s a very positive experience overall.
