I did an initial phone screen with a recruiter - very positive experience. She asked great questions and provided valuable insights into the organization. I then met with a Director and one of her direct reports face to face. Unfortunately, it was unprofessional and took my enthusiasm for the role away. It felt more like an interrogation than an interview, very strange interview experience. Although I realized that the role was not the right fit (and I’m sure the feeling was mutual), I would have expected a courtesy follow up email. Nothing. I’ve heard many positive things about the organization overall, though.
