Very normal. Interviews with HR, Hiring Manager, Executive Team members. Attended several Fonteva networking events. Company called my references and I received a written offer and upon asking some very simple questions within 24-hours of receipt the offer was rescinded - stating they chose to staff up junior level positions. I called the recruiter and he assured me it had nothing to do with my interview performance. The offer was a low-ball for tech in DC, after having many conversations about salary expectations and the assurance that I was in the proper range. Very unprofessional to check references then pull an offer - solid references, experience, credit, no criminal past, etc. References are supposed to be the last step in the hiring process. I spoke to my references of whom are very supportive of me, and they felt that the reference check was very haphazard.
