I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Food Lion (Greenwood, SC) in May 2021
Interview
I attended a hiring career event during the pandemic. I met with the store manager from one of the stores. I recently attended an interview a month before for a new store opening, so the store manger I interviewed remembered me. He already knew what position I was looking for and my background work history. He did ask for my availability, how I would handle working with others, and why do I want to work for the company. He told me all the stores in the area are hiring and I will be sent to the one who needs the most help. I received a call from Food lion three days later to come in to start orientation and to bring my ID with my social security card. I was at orientation the next week for around 40-45 minutes. I was introduced to the company policies, dress code, attendance, and etc. I came back to the store later in the week to complete computer training videos and I started working the day after the training. I also received my name tag and employee ID number.
