I had an initial phone interview with the recruiter, which was positive except for the phone screen taking a hour (this was not communicated to me beforehand, so some planning would be beneficial on the recruitment side).
I then was invited to interview with the hiring manager, and I was asked to provide my availability for a Tuesday or Thursday of that week, so I did. I then received a response that I was actually scheduled for that Friday, which was no issue for me. I sent an email back to the recruiter confirming the time specifically for that Friday at the scheduled time. I put the date and day of the week in my confirmation to avoid any confusion.
Thursday comes, and I receive a phone call from the hiring manager, and she proceeds to leave me a unprofessional voicemail. I of course was not available to answer the call because I had other things scheduled during that time. I emailed the recruiter back as soon as I could, and I was informed that the hiring manager is off on Fridays (don't know why you would schedule it then?), and I was asked to then reschedule for the next week Tuesday or Thursday.
After that experience, I decided I no longer wanted to work for an organization that treats candidates with so little respect.
