Technical Escalation Engineer – Tier IV Interview

      Sep 29, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Ra`ananna
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Forcepoint (Ra`ananna) in Aug 2017

      Interview

      - Applied via a recruiting agency. - Got called up after a few days for an interview with team leader. - Did okay on the first interview and was called up again after ~2 weeks for a follow-up interview with aforementioned TL's line manager. - Got rejected by E-mail a couple of weeks later. The first interview consisted of a lot of friendly, "let's get to know each other" talk, followed by a very interesting technical part where I had to troubleshoot through a simulation of "Unknown Error" popping up when starting an application. The second interview also consisted of a lot of friendly talk, followed by another technical exercise where I had to look at the architecture of a product (software & hardware) and suggest ways to make it more verbose/efficient/reliable. The only bad thing I can say is that the offices are not among the nicest ones I've seen, but overall a positive experience: - Very nice people (and smart). - I was treated fairly. - I learned quite a bit from the experience.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      - How would you troubleshoot an "Unknown Error" message popping up when you start an application on your workstation? - Look at the product's architecture on the screen and suggest ways to improve it.
