I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Forward (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2020
Interview
Initial phone screen with an internal recruiter and then a few back to back video calls with different people within the org. I felt as if they were somewhat unprepared to ask questions and thank goodness I had my share of questions to ask and inquire about, although it was somewhat off putting they didn't have concrete questions for someone who would be taking over an intricate role.

Question 1
Why Forward? (As some people mentioned before, if you don't answer the way they hoped, you're pretty much toast.)

Interview
1st round was a phone screen with the recruiter where you learn more about the company / share your background
2nd round, is 3 - 30 minute interviews with people on the people operations team. Thought it was really weird to be interviewed by non-Executive Assistants. How will they truly know whether I can do the job, if they, themselves have never supported an exec...
Lastly - I was berated with questions by one of the interviewers. Not sure what their deal was, but I would finish one question and they wouldn't even take their time to properly analyze it before jumping onto the next question.
Very odd recruiting process.

Question 1
- Tell me about your experience
- WHY FORWARD ( I think they asked this like 20x and if you answer incorrectly, the rest of your answers don't matter)
Wow talk about a sweatshop! The office was horrible. The recruiter was nice. When I finally met the executive he was your basic jerk with a man bun who talked down to me like I was incompetent. It doesn’t matter how nice everyone is if your executives are toxic.
