Interview
Definitely the longest interview process I've gone through. Honestly pretty exhausting. 30 min intro call -> 3 back to back behavioral interviews -> take home case study and in-person presentation -> on-site where I talked with team lead, head of operations, and CEO
I cannot stress the importance of mission alignment at Forward. People come to Forward because they want to change the healthcare industry and bring healthcare to a billion people. If that's not the reason you are applying, I would save my time and apply elsewhere.
My advice for the take home case study: this will be less of a presentation and more of a Q&A discussing the results of your analysis. It is very helpful to think through potential questions that may come up and feel confident in your prep. Previous knowledge on the case study topic would be helpful but is not required.
My advice for the onsite: The CEO is going to ask you why you want to work here. You should have a good answer. Also, expect the interviews with the higher-ups to be more "intense" than the previous rounds. Be confident in who you are, be passionate about your work, and be yourself. (Also, wear some comfortable shoes, they like to do walking interviews :))
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Forward (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2023
Interview
1:1 with teams, was initially told there would be 3 interviews, to be told after 2nd interview there would be 2 more 1:1s and finally a case study presentation. Was very easy chats with people on the team but decided not to move forward due to the team vision being ambiguous

Question 1
Describe your experience working with competing priorities
Felt like a full on induction into a praise and worship session for the company's mission. Instead of asking technical questions relevant to the role they spent 5 hours trying to suss out some sort of alignment with their mission which was not even fully articulated or explained . I did not get the impression that this company was going anywhere--- they did not seem like they had product market fit or that people were working on something that they believed in. Noone could give me a straight answer about the what value they would actually deliver to patients, just a lot of vision woo woo stuff. I'd stay away
