I wouldn't describe my experience as negative, but I did feel that the interviewers were overly focused on one particular question: "Why do you want to work here?" While it's understandable that they want to assess the candidate's motivations, it seemed like they were obsessed with this question and kept coming back to it in every discussion. I provided valid reasons multiple times, but the interviewer seemed unsatisfied and couldn't seem to understand why I wanted to work there. It's important to note that while they were evaluating me as a potential match for their company, I was also evaluating them as a potential employer. Unfortunately, I got the impression that they were more concerned with their own mission and goals than with the well-being of their employees. After all the discussions, the interviewer explained the next steps, which surprised me. They mentioned a technical assessment, followed by three one-hour coding challenges, two system design evaluations, and two additional technical rounds. In total, there were 10 rounds, including interviews with the hiring manager and the CEO. By the end of the interview, I couldn't shake the feeling that the interviewer had already made up their mind and was merely going through the process. It seemed like they weren't impressed with any of my answers, which was disheartening. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go through such a hectic process because at the end of the day we are human beings we cannot know everything. And the no of technicals assessments they have, proves they are trying to hire a robot not a person.
