Had a great phone call with the hiring manager. I was invited in to take some testing, interview with who would eventually be my boss, and he introduced me to some of the employees.
of course, he gave me the usual I'll get back to you in a few days with your test results and I want to get this position filled within the next couple of weeks.
I don't know what it is with clowns like this hiring manager in general who seem to think that job seekers aren't sophisticated enough to know they are being passed on for other candidates.
when I look back on it now, I should have noticed a few of the red flags about this company:
Overall this office has the appearance of an office that is about to vacate at any day. The reception area is extremely sparse, their employees work on what appear to be buffet-style picnic tables. That struck me as a little bit odd.
Keep in mind they claim they are the second largest PDF solution next to Adobe. You would think a company like that would want to put their best foot forward .
At the end of the day the hiring manager didn't keep his promises. I'm not quite sure why hiring managers seem to think they can act in such an incredibly unprofessional manner. I can only imagine how he must treat his employees if you can't treat jobseekers like a decent human being.
