Applied online and received a system generated email approximately a month later saying I was no longer being considered for the job. Later that day, received an email from the Talent Advisor asking to schedule a Teams interview within the next two days (red flag after receiving the previous email). I responded immediately and disclosed the conflicting emails but did not receive a response. I followed up three days later and was able to schedule the Teams interview. I think the interview went well, even though I was asked questions that were already asked and answered in the ATS and on the resume. We discussed the hiring process, and I was scheduled to do Teams interviews with a team member and the hiring manager over the following three weeks. I thought those interviews went well, but the hiring manager did say some things about the remaining hiring process that did not line up with what the Talent Advisor said (another red flag) and what Freddie says online about the process. I received an email from the Talent Advisor about three to four weeks later saying they were going with a more qualified applicant (not sure I believed that), but encouraged me to reach directly out to them if I saw other jobs I was interested in and they would be glad to help. I did see another job I thought I was a strong match for and I reached out twice to the Talent Advisor, but never received a reply. A few weeks later I checked LinkedIn to see if I could find who did get the job. Found the employee, they hired someone internally. Okay, but based on the LinkedIn profile, them being more qualified was very disputable. The infuriating part of it was the employee stating on their profile they started the position a month before I interviewed! Pretty sure I was only interviewed so they could check a box saying they interviewed external candidates when they had no intention of hiring an external candidate. Receiving an invitation to interview after receiving the system generated rejection, the initial lack of responses, and the slow interview process all started to make more sense. The cut and paste final rejection email with the false offer to assist with other Freddie applications just reinforce this opinion. Very disingenious process.
